QUINN XCII CD Case

The brief for this project was to create a CD case that would stand out by having a feature that makes the physical CD worth buying over the digital copy of the music.

This is a CD case for the album The Story Of Us by Quinn XCII. The album is a story of two people going through turmoil in their relationship.

 

In the video, you can see that when the inside flaps of the case are opened, two figures are dragged apart by two busts. This is a metaphor for how the people in the album are tearing themselves apart, a nod towards the story told by the album.

The rear of the case features empty picture frames, another nod to the towards the story told by the album, as well as a nod towards the original album design.

The goal of this project was to create a unique CD case design that told a story as you flowed through the case and honored the music and story created by Quinn XCII.
